On the 18th July myself and my partner Trevor decided to conduct an investigation on behalf of the South West Paranormal Group. We contacted a few friends and invited them to come along, they were all interested and excited about coming on an investigation.
Our destination for the evening was Braydon Stoke Abbey near RAF Lynham. We decided the best place to meet would be the White Heart pub in Lynham. After everyone had arrived I did a brief introduction on what I did as a medium, this was because some of the guests didn’t know who I was as they had been invited by some other members of the group, I also explained what would be involved during an investigation.
While my partner Trevor explained some of the history of the abbey I sat in the car, I didn’t want to know any information on what might have happened there. When he had finished we headed to Braydon Stoke.
After walking across fields we arrived at our destination, I became aware of a spirit man called Jack who seemed to be wearing an old fashioned waist coat, I felt that he was once a game keeper. I was later told by Trevor’s mother that her father used to be a gamekeeper at Braydon Stoke Abbey, his name was Henry John but people knew him as Jack, he also wore an old waist jacket. I was also aware of three spirit children, two boys called Sam and Charlie and a little girl called Lucy Amelia. The two boys looked around eight years of age; Lucy looked to be around eleven years old. They were all dressed in clothes from the Victorian era.
As we began to settle down we were all looking towards the tower, I could see a lady who looked very sad, she told me that her name was Mary and that she had been imprisoned in the tower to rot, this was punishment for having a relationship with a local monk. I asked Mary to give us a sign of her presence and after a few minutes we all heard a muffled sound that sounded like a woman crying, I knew that is was no one from the group as we were all sat together. Myself and a few others were stood next to a wall, what felt like dirt or grit had been had been thrown at us which seemed to come from nowhere. Meanwhile my partner Trevor was sitting on some rocks, he noticed dripping water on his jacket even though it was not rain
Myself and four other guests decided to go into the court field, I instantly saw what looked like bodies hanging from tree branches, I felt total sadness and at the same time one group member caught an orb with their camera, it looked as though there was a face in the orb. We decided to head towards the basement of the abbey but unfortunately we didn’t experience any phenomena except for a few cold breezes, we decided to head back to the abbey tower to see if we would experience any more activity, almost instantly we experienced stones being thrown and unusual noises which we couldn’t explain. After a while we decided to go an investigate the local cemetery but when we arrived we found that there were houses nearby, we didn’t want to disturb the local residence so we called an end to the investigation and headed to Avebury.
We arrived in Avebury around 2am, there was a slight breeze but no rain, we headed towards the cemetery, I said to my friends Jenny and Lauren that I could sense a man called Tony, I felt that his real name was Anthony and that he had died in a motorcycle accident sometime during the 70s, he was buried somewhere in the graveyard. We all split up to see if we could find Tony`s headstone but it wasn’t until we came to the last few that we found it. Tony had been born in the late 30s and died in 1977; we could find no other headstones with the names Anthony or Tony.
I for one found this a very interesting investigation; it was my first without the rest of the team members. I would like to thank all those involved and made it such a great night.
Best Wishes
